How do I place a bid?

Open the item, press Bid, and enter your amount. It then takes two wallet transactions, in this order:

• Approve CRETA — permission for the auction contract to take the amount you are bidding.
• Place bid — the bid itself.

You pay a network fee for both, so keep some POL spare. The modal shows which of the two steps you are on; if you approve and then close the window before bidding, no bid was placed — start again and the approval step may be skipped.

Your CRETA is held by the auction contract from the moment the bid lands, not when the auction ends.
