I press Play and the game does not start

Try these, in order:

• Check the button does not say Update — an out-of-date build is the commonest cause.
• Close the launcher completely and reopen it, then press Play again.
• Make sure the install folder still exists and has not been moved, renamed or cleaned up by another tool.
• Your antivirus or, on macOS, Gatekeeper may be holding the game back the first time it runs. Check for a blocked-app prompt.
• Reinstall the game — your purchase is not affected by removing the files.

If it still will not start, write to us and say which game, which operating system, and what appears on screen when you press Play. A screenshot of any error saves a round trip.
