What is my club's level, and why did it go down?

Clubs run from Spark through Ember, Flame, Blaze, Wildfire, Inferno and Nova to Supernova. Reaching a tier needs enough approved members, enough posts over the club's life, and enough age — so no club can buy its way to the top in a week.

Levels can also drop, which is the part that surprises people. Each tier has a 30-day maintenance requirement, and:

• no posts at all in 30 days costs you two levels;
• posting, but below the tier's monthly requirement, costs one;
• from the middle tiers up, activity from too few different people costs one — a club carried by a single prolific poster does not hold its level.

So the level rewards a club where lots of members post regularly. Manage → Dashboard shows exactly which condition you are short on.
